Our Story
Nathalie Rossette-Cazel (Juris Doctor) completed her doctorate in international public law in 1998 with her thesis developing the notion of ''freely associated states''.
Prepared with this expert knowledge she worked as a staff member and legal officer of the United Nations, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the World Health Organisation in Geneva. She has also represented the Government of France as Honorary Consul and currently represents the Cook Islands Government at several international organisations in Europe. She worked with the Cook Islands Ministry of Foreign Affairs where she implemented international conventions such as the Rights of the child ( 1997), women's rights, humanitarian and maritime pollution controls.
In 2004 Nathalie Rossette-Cazel created her own company providing advice to international civil servants working with the Specialized Agencies of the United Nations. She has worked with the Staff Unions of United Nations organisations, the African Development Bank, the Global Fund and private insurance companies. The business has registered offices in the Cook Islands and France.
Co-founder Peter Tierney has a Master of Science in Development Management and experience as manager of international development assistance programmes for civil society, donors and small island developing state governments where he managed the Development Coordination Division of the Finance Ministry of the Cook Islands. He has experience in the private sector as an entrepreneur and accountant.
Collectively, the founding partners bring international development knowledge gained from professional experiences in the Pacific, Europe, Africa and Asia. Fields include public international law, human rights, environmental law, gender, climate change, public financial management, programme management, emergency response and disaster recovery, water, sanitation and renewable energy infrastructure development in small islands.
